The Growth Is Real, and It's Accelerating

The latest nationwide tally counted 74,265 public DC fast-charging ports spread across just over 15,600 locations, a 27% jump from a year earlier. The average site now has close to five charging ports, up from under four and a half a year ago, meaning stations are being built bigger rather than just more of them popping up. Interestingly, most of that growth came from smaller and regional networks rather than the largest players, which grew a more modest amount over the same period.

Tesla remains the single largest operator by a wide margin, controlling roughly half of all fast-charging ports counted nationwide.
